Back then, I used my first student loan (BAf\u00f6G) to buy two turntables and some speakers. I lost touch with it for a while, but for the past two years I&#8217;ve been fully back into it \u2013 especially into the Italo disco sound. I love collecting and spinning records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where can people hear or see your work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m active on Instagram and SoundCloud \u2013 and of course live, whenever I\u2019m playing somewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>What\u2019s the name of the track you want to introduce, and who is it by?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il mondo da una nuvola &#8211; <em>Patrizia Pellegrino<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who is Patrizia Pellegrino \u2013 and what makes the song special?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>Patrizia Pellegrino (*1962 in Torre Annunziata near Naples) is an Italian actress, TV presenter, showgirl, and theater performer. In the 1980s, she also began singing and became part of the Italian Italo disco wave.<br>Il Mondo Da Una Nuvola, originally released as a 7&#8243; single, is one of her most iconic tracks \u2013 produced by Rome-based disco maestro Constantino Paolini.<br>The song blends playful synthesizers with dreamy vocals that speak of seeing the world from the perspective of a cloud.<\/em><\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/de.ra.co\/dj\/evius\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/de.ra.co\/dj\/evius\/biography<br><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/de.ra.co\/podcast\/863\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/de.ra.co\/podcast\/863<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When and how did you discover the track?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I came across the track when I started collecting records again. I was listening to a lot of sets from the Berlin scene back then, especially from parties like <em><a href=\"http:\/\/de.ra.co\/promoters\/135225\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Automaticamore<\/a><\/em>.<br>The music in those sets inspired me to dig deeper \u2013 mostly on Discogs and YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In what situations do you like listening to the track?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of all when I\u2019m having a few drinks with friends \u2013 or riding my bike through the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Do you play the track during sets or mixes?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Absolutely! I bought the record right after it was re-released in 2023 on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discogs.com\/de\/label\/1515534-Miss-you?srsltid=AfmBOorw3dhsNmeLFjI1KkJ9EUdoMmyTUHxlvX65rEVtDlcIuvWtCBXN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Miss You<\/a><\/em> (a sublabel of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/soundmetaphors.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Sound Metaphors<\/a><\/em>). Since then, I often use it as an opener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>What makes the track special or meaningful to you?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I love the theme of the song \u2013 it\u2019s all about longing. Longing for a holiday, for special encounters, for a night that never ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Which sound element catches you every single time?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Definitely the first 10 to 20 seconds. The synths, the intro \u2013 it gets me every time. It has that iconic sound that just hits right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>What does the track make you feel?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A feeling of Italy \u2013 of romance, of that dramatic atmosphere that instantly fills the air. It just sweeps you along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Is there a specific memory or image that you associate with the track?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Totally! I played the track for the first time during my first DJ set at die <em><a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/gottes_gruene_wiese\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Wiese<\/a><\/em>. I was super nervous, but once this track came on, everything relaxed.<br>A lot of friends were there, the vibe was beautiful \u2013 the track fit the evening perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Is there anything else you\u2019d like to say about the track?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to more dance bars!
